Lovely video on crystal painting. Anna, if you don’t mind I would like to ask if you wouldn’t mind giving me your opinion on using the Daler Rowney Artsphere Easel with watercolor. I am looking to change my way of painting to relieve neck and back pain. I have always painted flat on my work table but that’s not possible anymore. I have seen several artists switching to this Artspere easel for the same reasons.
Thank you,
Judith Utter
Oh the sphere is great because you can control the angle Judith – I’m not surprised your neck is giving you paint if you’ve been working flat. Buy one now! 🙂
This is beautiful. I’m impressed as usual that the pencil drawing is so very critical to the end result.
Thanks Claire!
Superb, and I just received my new car which is…purple!
Sounds very funky Chris!
Wow – you have the patience of a Saint to make such a detailed, complex drawing of that crystal. The end result is stunning, as is all your work.
Thanks Mary!
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing Anna. You have truly captured the lights & delicacy of the crystals. I should know, I own them! Also my favourite colour. You certainly have a lot of patience to do such fine, delicate work! Brilliant!
Beautiful! I never would have thought you could do that with watercolors! Thank you for the video..
Stunning, Anna! How long did it take you from drawing to end?
Around 4-5 hours I think Paula, so not tooo long.
Wow!! Beautiful! I agree with your Mum, mines the 21st.
From a watercolourist turned pastelist, wow! Will have to have a go at that in pastels. Then again, may have to get the watedcolours out again
This is a perfect subject for me to do for my February Birthday daughter who also loves purple! Is your reference drawing available on line for us to use?
It’s available in my School if you’re a member Sandra?
Thank you Anna for sharing your beautiful video. My mother’s birthday is in February also. Love the Amethyst crystal.
